March 2026: Site Updates + Foreclosure

Wow, it's been a whole year since I finally made a blog post. Oops.

First things first, happy new year and happy late Valentine's Day!

Second thing: the elephant in the room. I will be shutting this site down because of Wix's affiliation with Israel.

I know, it's just so heartbreaking to see me part with a big company that's created and funded by Israel, but after the bombing of Rafah amongst the constant Israeli propaganda that I get whenever I scroll through TikTok or YouTube despite how I block almost every Jewish and political advertisement that I see -- on top of the fact that the site itself forces AI down your throat yet is slower than dial-up as I'm typing this, you'd get pretty fucking sick of it too if you had to deal with it 24/7. Simply helping support Palestine and Ukraine by having direct links to charities isn't enough anymore, and I've been developing my own HTML skills in the background to the point where I feel comfortable to showcase my progress.

If I'm able to protest and boycott, then I'll fucking do it.

A few people may know this, but I am firmly against generative AI when it's just handed to the public without any laws pertaining to the creation and distribution of sexual abuse material, or laws preventing big companies like Meta and Google (looking at you, Character.AI) keeping silent clauses in their terms of service that prevent you from deleting your data from their servers and their libraries for the training of their models. The moment that you give them your information, information that they've already stolen from you by the "fair use" clauses in other sections of their terms of service, you are metaphorically, digitally, and potentially literally fucked in every sense of the word.

I don't want to support that kind of shit, and neither should you. These massive AI server farms not only take jobs from people, but the companies that are building these places are destroying parks and drying up water supplies to simply keep the computers form turning into a dumpster fire. I'm sure that no one gives a shit if I leave, but at least I'll have full CSS control on NeoCities without having to deal with lag.

Until then, I'll be leaving this site up until I end up getting the chance to properly delete everything. Fuck Israel.
